During the winter storms that pounded North Carolina in 2010, Democratic Gov. Bev Perdue declared a state of emergency. The city of King, N.C., followed suit, instituting a series of measures which included a prohibition on the possession of alcohol and firearms outside the home. This put North Carolinians in a difficult spot: there was a state of emergency, but if they ventured out of their homes for supplies, they were not allowed to take their guns along for personal protection. The ban also prevented them from buying ammo for their weapons.
A federal district court judge in North Carolina has just struck down that state’s emergency power to impose a ban on firearms and ammunition outside the home during a declared emergency, ruling that the provision violates the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
United States District Judge Bruce D. Black of the United States District Court for New Mexico entered summary judgment in a civil case for damages against Alamogordo, NM police officers. The Judge’s straight shootin’ message to police: Leave open carriers alone unless you have “reason to believe that a crime [is] afoot.”
We know that wholesale gun confiscation happened during Hurricane Katrina. We watched the Chief of Police of New Orleans declare on national television that “no one [no private citizen] will be able to be armed, we’re going to take all the weapons.” We watched an old lady being tackled in her own kitchen and disarmed.

Wisconsin‘s concealed carry law isn’t even a month old, but thousands of your friends and neighbors already have permission to pack heat and they’re buying up the hardware to do it.
Wisconsin became the 49th state to allow residents to carry concealed weapons this month. Questions about liability still linger, but gun sales have increased across the state and the state Justice Department has been deluged with so many permit requests it’s already scrambling to keep up.
Last month, the National Association for Gun Rights launched its new Frontline Defender monthly membership program to combat the growing list of threats coming from the Obama Administration.
The Law of Nations, Vattel, pub. 1758, Vol. 1 Chapter III § 30 — Of the support of the constitution and obedience to the laws.
The constitution and laws of a state are the basis of the public tranquility, the firmest support of political authority, and a security for the liberty of the citizens. But this constitution is a vain phantom, and the best laws are useless, if they be not religiously observed: the nation ought then to watch very attentively, in order to render them equally respected by those who govern, and by the people destined to obey.
A new Montana gun law puts the state at the forefront of a national bid to restore states’ rights by attacking up to a century of federal court decisions on Washington’s power.
Two other states – Alaska and Texas – have had favorable votes on laws similar to Montana’s, declaring that guns that stay within the state are none of the feds’ business. More than a dozen others are considering such laws, and more-general declarations of state sovereignty have been introduced this year in more than 30 legislatures.
The “supremacy clause” is dealt with in Mack/Printz, in which the U.S. Supreme Court stated once and for all, that the only thing “supreme” is the Constitution itself. Where by the powers, the Sheriff reigns supreme above the president.
Does there remain any governmental Horatius who can stand in the gap; who can lead the Battle for America and restore the Constitution? There is. Lock and load, mount up and prepare for the return of the Sheriff.
Government authorities and media pundits never told Americans about the dark side of 911. Too many Americans have dialed 911 and died because the police did not or could not help them.
Recent reports indicate that Anti-Gun Congressman Boswell fought with an intruder for a few moments, giving time for his grandson to go to the basement, unlock a gun cabinet, load a shotgun and then run back upstairs where he scared off the attacker by displaying the shotgun.
ACORN — the Association of Community Organizations for Reform — a publicly funded national organization is using your tax dollars to actively interfere with the Second Amendment exercise of gun rights in New Jersey and elsewhere.
Professor Joyce Lee Malcolm of Bentley College deserves some sort of special prize for taking on the thankless task of talking sense on a subject where nonsense is deeply entrenched and fiercely dogmatic. In her recently published book, “Guns and Violence,” Professor Malcolm examines the history of firearms, gun control laws and violent crime in England. What makes this more than an exercise in history is its relevance to current controversies over gun control in America.
Oklahoma City, OK — Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry has signed Senate Bill 1103, the “Use of Force for the Protection of the Unborn Act,” into Oklahoma law. This bill allows a woman to use force if necessary to protect her unborn child from attack. Under the bill, a pregnant woman is legally justified in using deadly force if she “reasonably believes” an attacker is “threatening her unborn child” and “use of force or deadly force are immediately necessary to protect her unborn child.”
Maressa Treat, AUL Oklahoma State Director, explained the driving force behind the bill: “All too often pregnant women are victims of domestic violence, especially violence targeted toward the unborn child. This bill clarifies that women who protect their child’s life by using force are legally protected in Oklahoma.”
Daniel McConchie, AUL Vice President of Government Affairs, added, “AUL and AUL Action will now work to take this important legislation to other states across the country. Every pregnant woman in America deserves the right to protect her unborn child from violence and harm.”

With everything else going on in the world, you may have missed a piece of news coming out of South Dakota. It seems that a few legislators in that state have introduced a bill that would require every one of South Dakota’s citizens over 21 years of age to own a gun.
Did you know that the police have absolutely no legal duty to protect you or any other American citizen?
You can sue the police for failing to protect you, but, because of legal doctrines like “sovereign immunity”, you will most likely lose. In JPFO’s book “Dial 911 and Die” (written by an attorney) it is explained in careful detail how Americans, unbeknownst to the vast majority, are actually saddled with their own self defense.
It’s not just that the police cannot protect you. They don’t even have to come when you call! In most states the government and police owe no legal duty to protect individual citizens from criminal attack. The District of Columbia’s highest court declared plainly:
“(the)fundamental principle that a government and its agents are under no general duty to provide public services, such as police protection, to any particular individual citizen.” Warren v. District of Columbia, 444 A.2d 1, 4 (D.C. 1981)
“The [Due Process of the 14th Amendment] Clause is phrased as a limitation on the State’s power to act, not as a guarantee of certain minimal levels of safety and security; while it forbids the State itself to deprive individuals of life, liberty, and property without due process of law, its language cannot fairly be read to impose an affirmative obligation on the State to ensure that those interests do not come to harm through other means.” DeShaney v. Winnebago County , 489 U.S. 189 (1989)

After a Glock-wielding gunman killed six people at a Tucson shopping center on Jan. 8, Greg Wolff, the owner of two Arizona gun shops, told his manager to get ready for a stampede of new customers.
Wolff was right. Instead of hurting sales, the $499 semi-automatic pistols — popular with Police, Sport Shooters and Militias– flying out the doors of his Glockmeister stores in Mesa and Phoenix.
“We’re at double our volume over what we usually do.
The result is that the weapon’s effectiveness has also fired up sales of handguns in Arizona and other states, according to federal law enforcement data.
Arizona gun dealers say that among the biggest sellers over the past two days is the Glock 19 made by privately held Glock GmbH, based in Deutsch-Wagram, Austria.
Sales Jump
One-day sales of handguns in Arizona jumped 60 percent to 263 on Jan. 10 compared with 164 the corresponding Monday a year ago, the second-biggest increase of any state in the country, according to Federal Bureau of Investigation data.
Handgun sales rose 65 percent to 395 in Ohio; 16 percent to 672 in California; 38 percent to 348 in Illinois; and 33 percent to 206 in New York, the FBI data show. Sales increased nationally about 5 percent, to 7,906 guns.
“Whenever there is a huge event, especially when it’s close to home, people do tend to run out and buy something to protect their family,” said Don Gallardo, a manager at Arizona Shooter’s World in Phoenix, who said that the number of people signing up for the store’s concealed weapons class doubled over the weekend. Gallardo said he expects handgun sales to climb steadily throughout the week.
Law abiding US citizens bought on average 3,177,256 guns every 3 months in 2008.
EveryTown, USA - -(AmmoLand.com)- In just 3 months Americans bought enough guns to outfit the entire Chinese and Indian army’s combined.

You also bought 1,529,635,000 rounds of ammunition in just the month of December 2008. Yeah that is right, that is Billion with a “B”. This number takes no accounting of reloading or reloaded ammunition.
This is an evaluation of overall firearms and ammunition purchases based on low end numbers per Federal NIC instacheck data base Statistics.
The numbers presented are only PART of the overall numbers of arms and ammunition that have been sold. The actual numbers are much higher.

Light and easy to use, a Glock 9 mm is among the most popular sidearms for U.S. police departments. “It’s one of the greatest guns made in the history of the world,” said Wolff, whose two stores sell Glock-made weapons almost exclusively.
When Loughner allegedly walked into Tucson’s Sportsman’s Warehouse last November to buy a Glock 19 — favored as a concealed weapon because it is slightly smaller and lighter than similar caliber handguns — federal law would have required a background check via the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, a telephone-based check administered by the FBI.
Background Check
Loughner would have had to present his driver’s license and answer several questions, including queries on past drug use, domestic violence or felony convictions. Wolff said in most cases the check takes less than five minutes and the number of denials he receives is a tiny fraction of the total.
“It’s in the news now. I’m sure the Green Bay Packers are selling all kinds of jerseys today as well,” he said. “I just think our state embraces guns.”
Arizona law allows anyone to carry a gun in public if it’s in full view, making it what’s known as an open-carry state. Until recently, gun store owners say, it was common to see people carrying weapons in grocery stores or coffee shops. That’s less true today, because last year that state passed a law allowing individuals to carry a concealed weapon without a permit.
Why do you suppose Comrade Obama waited until after the midterms to fill a vacancy at the top of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives? So he wouldn’t inflict too much damage on his party by nominating an anti-Second Amendment zealot like Andrew Traver:
As special agent in charge of Chicago’s ATF field division, Traver had taken the lead in calling for a ban on semiautomatic firearms.
And Chicago, of course, has been the epicenter of anti-gun government activism. It is not surprising that Traver has also been active in the virulently anti-gun International Association of Chiefs of Police, which has worked to empower Handgun Control-type activists and has commissioned panels to:
• support one-gun-a-month and lock-up-your-safety laws, as well as “ballistic fingerprinting” files on all firearms;
• espouse an “effective” ban on .50-caliber firearms, and a redefinition of “armor-piercing” ammunition that could effectively ban handgun use;
• mandate gun-destruction policies for law enforcement and enhanced funding to go after guns;
• prohibit all private gun sales and make “prohibited persons” out of a much wider variety of persons committing simple misdemeanors;
• back a repeal of the Tiahrt amendment; and,
• allow federal health and safety oversight of the firearms industry (through agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control, the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Food and Drug Administration).
We hold our most fundamental liberties dear enough that our rulers don’t dare snatch them away all at once. Instead, they gradually eat away at them like termites. The Manchurian Moonbat may have the perfect man for the job.

This new film produced by JPFO is essential viewing, showing as it does just how many Jews, many in power, continue to be promoting “Gun Control”. The comment from most gun owners hinges on the “do some people never learn anything from history”?
If any historic proof was needed regarding Gun Control”, you only have to review the JPFO Genocide Chart, to see how disarmament equates to victims, often on a large scale. Read about the film “Nazi Death Camps” – a chilling JPFO movie. A recent event August 31st 2010 when four people were brutally shot to death in their car (including a pregnant woman) further highlights the tragedy of gun control - Read an article that further proves the validity and necessity for “No Guns For Jews”.
