According to Egyptian state television, two waves of air strikes targeted training camps and weapon storage areas.
Libya has that the bombings hit targets in the city of Derna currently being held by the militants, the BBC has reported.

The Coptic Christians were kidnapped in Sirte in eastern Libya in separate incidents in December and January.

The video shows men being beheaded after being forced to kneel next to the Mediterranean Sea. A militant says they are sending a message “from the south of Rome”. At the end of the footage the same English-speaking fighter raises his knife to the water and says ISIS would “conquer Rome”.
On Monday, Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi visited Coptic Pope Tawadross II and offered his condolences for the killings.
Pope Francis also condemned the killings, saying that the men were “simply for the fact that they were Christians.”
