At First Morsi was spared the death sentence and given 20 years, new court ruling as of Saturday May 16, 2015 handed down the death sentence.

CAIRO—An Egyptian court on Saturday sentenced ousted President Mohammed Morsi to death for breaking out of prison during the height of the nation’s uprising in 2011, the latest blow against Islamist critics of the government.

The decision is the harshest of multiple sentences given to Mr. Morsi and underscores the breadth of current President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi’s crackdown on his chief political opponents, the Muslim Brotherhood.

The court’s preliminary verdict Saturday is subject to review by the Grand Mufti, Egypt’s highest religious authority, whose opinion isn’t legally binding but is traditionally adopted by the court.

A final verdict will be delivered June 2 but will be open to appeals, which can take years in Egypt’s clogged judicial system.

Mr. Morsi has already been sentenced to 20 years in prison last month in a separate case in which he was found guilty of fomenting violence during a series of protests in 2012 that dogged his year in office.

The former Egyptian president was among 106 members and leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood sentenced to death on Saturday, including the group’s spiritual guide Mohammed Badie and prominent Islamic scholar, Youssef al-Qaradawi, who is based in Qatar.

The Egyptian court has shown the world how to deal with terrorists. You don’t need to appease them. You don’t have to coddle them. You don’t have to worry about offending them. You just need to send them to hell. What a rude awakening these radical Islamists have waiting for them in purgatory. Yes, they do get 72 virgins. That is the good news. The bad news is they are all liberal women. (Which explains why they are still virgins) Among those who are about to achieve room temperature is former Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi, the dictator who was elected as a populist and soon thereafter tried to seize unlimited power. (Where have I heard this story before?)

Also unlike that other dictator, Egypt’s opposition leaders were strong and followed the will of the people instead of having a race to see who could capitulate the farthest in the shortest amount of time. In other words, they are fully equipped with a set of balls and an operable spine. Instead of allowing him to gobble up the rights of a free people, they removed him from power and placed him in prison. They tried him and they sentenced him. In Egypt, you can also have a number of appeals of your sentence, but not until after your execution. Saves a lot of time and money.

The Muslim Brotherhood had spent decades on the United States terror list before Obummer became dictator. Obama created an affirmative action program, whereby Muslim Brotherhood members were given preference in hiring for administration jobs, especially those jobs dealing with Israel. Obama says he loves Israel, it’s just that he hates all the damn Jews that live there.
