Aleppo, Syria (4:45 P.M.) – Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) has had little rest in southern Aleppo today, thanks in large-part to the Russian Air Force’s nonstop airstrikes over the Al-Ramouseh and Al-‘Amariyah districts.

According to a military source in the Aleppo Governorate, the Russian Air Force has conducted over 40 airstrikes inside the provincial capital’s southern districts today, targeting Jaysh Al-Fateh’s defenses and movements.

Among the many targets for the Russian Air Force in southern Aleppo was the jihadist controlled Al-Hikmah School, which overlooks the southern buildings in the 1070 Al-Hamdaniyah Housing Project.

The Russians also zeroed in on specific jihadist targets like the Aleppo Artillery Academy, Muttah Hill, and Al-‘Amariyah Farms; these sites had a large presence of Jaysh Al-Fateh militants.

Currently, the Russian Air Force is backing the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah with airstrikes above the jihadist areas inside the Technical College.

Syrian Army Advances In Southern Aleppo

Aleppo, Syria (5:10 P.M.) -The Syrian Arab Army’s Republican Guard, backed by Hezbollah, launched a new assault in the southern Aleppo districts on Wednesday, targeting the jihadist-controlled southern buildings inside the Al-Hamdaniyah 1070 Housing Project.

According to a military source in the Aleppo Governorate, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah seized several buildings from the jihadists of Jaysh al-Fateh, leaving only a small portion of the 1070 Housing Project under the latter’s control.

Despite this major push, the Syrian Armed Forces will still need to capture the Hikmah School in order to maintain today’s gains.

The Hikmah School overlooks the southern sector of the 1070 Housing Project; therefore, whoever holds it, will have fire-control over the remaining buildings.
